MultNAT® Mastitis Panel
Product Overview
Ustar offers farmers and veterinarians on-spot diagnostic solutions for quick and accurate identification of bovine mastitis-causing pathogens from milk sample.
Ongoing Challanges
Mastitis in cows is one of the most common diseases plaguing the dairy industry. Bovine mastitis is an inflammation of the mammary gland caused from trauma or an infection, leading to abnormal and decreased milk production. Facing the significant losses due to bovine mastitis, farmers need quick diagnostic results to take fast and appropriate action. Common diagnostic methods for bovine mastitis infection include California Mastitis Test (CMT) and culture, but current CMTs cannot identify specific pathogen, and culture is time-consuming and pathogens can be difficult to grow, especially for Mycoplasma species.
