MultNAT® Tropical Fever Panel (13-plex)

Product Overview

MultNAT® Tropical Fever Panel (13-plex) is an automated, in vitro nucleic acid amplification test used for qualitative diagnosis and differentiation of 13 prevalent pathogens in human whole blood samples collected from individuals with signs and/or symptoms of tropical infection. It is used in the auxiliary diagnosis of tropical disease infection. The results of the assay are for clinical reference only and shall not be used as the sole standard for clinical diagnosis.

  • Simple process and integrated system – Results in just 82 minutes

  • Point-of-care (POC) Nucleic Acid Test – Applicable in diverse medical settings

  •  Comprehensive detection – Covers 13 key tropical fever targets using advanced NAAT technology

Ongoing Challanges

  • Tropical fever syndromes present with overlapping symptoms—such as fever, rash, headache, and myalgia—making clinical diagnosis challenging and often delaying appropriate treatment.

  • The co-circulation of multiple pathogens in endemic regions underscores the need for a comprehensive, rapid, and multiplex diagnostic solution that can simultaneously detect Dengue, Chikungunya, Zika, West Nile Virus, Leptospira, Leishmania, and Plasmodium species.

  • Early and accurate identification is critical for guiding treatment, preventing complications, controlling outbreaks, and supporting public health surveillance.

Clinical Value

  • Enables rapid and accurate diagnosis of multiple tropical infections, supporting timely clinical decisions

  • Facilitates early identification of co-infections and emerging pathogens, improving patient outcomes

  • Provides real-time epidemiological data for monitoring tropical disease trends and guiding public health responses
