MultNAT® ASFV Assay
Ongoing Challanges
- African Swine Fever (ASF) is a highly contagious viral disease with up to 100% mortality in pigs and wild boars [1]. It’s also a WOAH-notifiable and Class A disease in China, spreading to over 50 countries since 2007.
- ASF caused over $100 billion in global economic losses from 2018–2022, with China’s pig herd shrinking by over 40% [3]. Its symptoms mimic Classical Swine Fever (CSF), requiring laboratory confirmation via PCR, ELISA, or virus isolation[4] .
