MultNAT® MTC/ NTM Assay

Ongoing Challenges

  • NTM can cause infections in a wide variety of body sites, including lungs, lymph gland, bone, joint, skin, soft tissue, and other organs, leading to disseminated diseases in the body.

  • Both NTM and TB can present with similar clinical symptoms and Chest X-rays, CT scans and Acid-Fast Bacilli (AFB) Smear may show similar findings in both conditions.

  • Enable precise and timely treatment, achieving Point-of-Care testing, and reducing turn-around time. Break the limitations of testing scenarios, enhance the surveillance level.

Product Overview

The assay is an automated, in vitro nucleic acid amplification test used for qualitative diagnosis of Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Complex (MTC) and d Non-Tuberculosis. Mycobaceria (NTM) in sputum from suspected case with signs and/or symptoms of MTC/NTM infection.

  • Result obtained within 54 mins

  • Direct diagnosis design to provide an accurate LOD: MTC100 copies/mL, NTM 1000cps/mL

  • The detected target: IS6110+1081+16srRNA

  • Differentiated MTC/NTM results facilitate physicians to provide appropriate treatment to patients

  • Point-of-care Nucleic Acid Test Methodology to be applied in various medical scenarios

Clinical Value

  • Significantly improves preliminary screening of suspected MTC/NTM cases

  • Auxiliary solution of bacteria-negative tuberculosis and extra-pulmonary tuberculosis

  • A cost-effective and time-efficient implementation for differentiating MTC/NTM
