MultNAT® HIV-1 Viral Load Assay
Ongoing Challanges
- Despite advances in antiretroviral therapy (ART), HIV-1 viral load (VL) monitoring remains critical for treatment success—yet faces persistent challenges.
- Centralized labs cause weeks-long delays, delayed turnaround time, and increase the risk of treatment failure detection.
- Many assays fail to detect low-level viremia (<200 copies/mL), missing early treatment failure.
- The variability of HIV-1 Subtype, like Non-B subtypes (e.g., CRF02_AG, C) may underperform in some PCR-based tests.
Product Overview
The MultNAT HIV-1 Viral Load Assay is an in vitro reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) assay for the detection and quantification of Human Immunodeficiency Virus type 1 (HIV-1) RNA in human serum plasma from HIV-1-infected individuals, using the automated MultNAT Instrument Systems.
- Simple process and integrated system with results around 150 mins
- Direct diagnosis design to provide an accurate LOD: 50 ~ 10⁷ copies/mL
- Detected target: HIV-1 M、N、O
- Decentralized application enables testing anytime and anywhere.
Clinical Value
- Affordable POC viral load tests, cost-effective for low- and medium-income countries.
- Standardized guidelines for managing low-level viremia.
- Fully closed test cartridge design. No cross-contamination.
