EasyNAT Rapid RSV Assay

Ongoing Challanges

  • Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) leads to approximately 3.2 million hospitalizations and 160,000 deaths annually worldwide, with a significant proportion occurring in children under five years old.[1]

  • RSV can cause severe illnesses such as bronchiolitis and pneumonia. It is the most common cause of bronchiolitis and pneumonia in children under one year of age.[2]

  • Traditional diagnostic methods often lack sensitivity and may produce false-negative results, especially in cases with low viral loads.
