MultNAT® Bovine Mastitis Panel (16-plex) Assay
Ongoing Challanges
- Mastitis in cows is one of the most common diseases plaguing the dairy industry. Bovine mastitis is an inflammation of the mammary gland caused by trauma or an infection, leading to abnormal and decreased milk production.
- Common diagnostic methods for bovine mastitis infection include California Mastitis Test (CMT) and culture, but current CMTs cannot identify specific pathogens, and culture is time-consuming and pathogens can be difficult to grow, especially for Mycoplasma species.
